Dean Norris, born April 8, 1963 in South Bend (Indiana), is an American actor who graduated from Harvard College and also attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. He first became famous for his supporting roles in fantasy cinema (Gremlins 2: The New Batch, Total Recall, Terminator 2, Starship Troopers and Gattaca), generally as a police or military officer. Later, he gained new recognition by playing Hank Schrader, DEA agent in the Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul series, then James "Big Jim" Rennie in the Under the Dome series, broadcast on CBS.
