The actress continues her ascent with the medieval fantasy TV series Game of Thrones (2011-2019) where she plays the protagonist of the show Daenerys Targaryen. She rose to fame thanks to the series' worldwide success and in 2018 won the Britannia Awards in the actress of the year category.
