Sophie Turner, also known as Sophie Turner Jonas, born February 21, 1996 in Northampton in the East Midlands, is a British actress. She is revealed to the general public by her role as Sansa Stark in the world-famous series Game of Thrones, then by playing the adolescent version of Jean Gray in the X-Men. She first played this role in X-Men: Apocalypse (2016), then more fully in X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019).

Sophie Turner was born on February 21 in Northampton, England. Her mother, Sally Turner, was a school teacher and her father worked in a pallet distribution business. Sophie has two older brothers, James and Will. She had a twin sister, but she died at birth. At the age of 2, she moved with her family to Warwick where she studied in a private school for girls. There, she also studied theater at the Playbox Theater and then began studying with a tutor until the age of 16 so that she could start her acting career.
