Rami Said Malek / ˈrɑːmi saɪd ˈmælɪk / is an American actor and producer, born on May 12, 1981, in Los Angeles. Due to his remarkable performances in various films and television productions (Night at the museum, Twilight V, The War at home, The Pacific), he became known to the general public after the television series Mr. Robot. He played the role of Elliot Alderson, which earned him the Primetime Emmy Award for the Best Actor in a Dramatic Television Series in 2016.

Rami Said Malek was born in Los Angeles, California, on May 12, 1981, of Egyptian parents, Nelly and Said Malek. His parents left Cairo in 1978 as his father, a tour guide, was fascinated, through an encounter with tourists, by this other world that he did not know. So that they settled in the Sherman Oaks area of Los Angeles. His father later became an insurer.
